Betty, Soni Irabor celebrate 34th wedding anniversary

Betty Irabor, publisher of Genevieve Magazine, and ace broadcaster, Soni, on Saturday marked 34 years of being married.
The couple, although high profile public figures, are known to be private about their personal affairs.
But in celebration of the milestone, Soni and Betty took to social media to share with the world their anniversary messages.
“Tickle Tickle…34 years later..We still do,” Betty wrote in one post, while another read: “Cheers to one love #34#blessed. When somebody loves you back. God is love.”
“34 years and still trudging! Glory be to God! 29/7/2017,” read Soni’s post, also on Instagram
Betty is known for dishing out marriage advice to young women, using her extensive experience in the institution as a reference point.
In August 2016, she urged single women not to be consumed with thoughts of marriage, noting that being unmarried by 30 is not such a big deal.
“I don’t think women should be worried about being married before 30 because many women before that age have not yet gone through the school of life which prepares them for marriage,” she had said

One suspect simply identified as 'Wee Wee' was shot dead during the ensuing gun duel while four escaped. Lagos Police arrests man who allegedly raped his wife’s 15-year-old sister The Lagos State police command has arrested an agent at a diagnostic centre along Gbagada-Oshodi Road, Ademola Ojomu, for allegedly raping the younger sister of his wife. The man allegedly started raping the sister in-law about two years ago when the girl now 15 was 13. It was gathered that Ojomu would allegedly threaten that he would stop paying her school fees if she told a third party. The incident was consequently brought to the attention of a child rights group in the community Child Protection Network which reported it at the Onipanu police station after the SS1 student confided in one of her school teachers. The coordinator of the group, Toyin Okanlawon, said the girl had been taken to a shelter in Lagos while the suspect was transferred to the gender unit of the state police command in Ikeja.
