IPOB will sack Okorocha in 2019 – Nnamdi Kanu

IPOB will sack Okorocha in 2019 – Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Friday, said that the secessionist group will send the governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, back to Jos in 2019.
This came as IPOB has dismissed as false media reports on Saturday that the rally and visit of their leader Nnamdi Kanu to Owerri was disrupted by a coalition of youth groups on Friday.
Kanu, who spoke in Owerri when he visited the state with hundreds of thousands of his supporters, insisted that there would be no election in Anambra State in November and in the other four South East states in 2019.
He said a Sovereign State of Biafra was the only solution, adding that only referendum not power devolution to States or restructuring will solve the problems of the country.
Kanu said: “We are in the land of Biafra. I have come to Owerri to spread the good news of the coming of Biafra Republic. I don’t want you people to be deceived. Restructuring does not have any meaning and I want you people to go and tell Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
“There is no freedom in Nigeria. All their children are abroad studying and enjoying good environment. “Only referendum can solve the problems of Nigeria. Power devolution is not the solution. Resource control is not our problem. What we need is Biafra. They are going about deceiving our people in the name of restructuring. “I want to say it again. There will be no election in Anambra and there will be no election in 2019, in Igboland.
And there will be no election in Imo State. “Go and tell Rochas Okorocha that I am a child of God. I want you people to tell him that he will leave Government House in 2019 and go back to Jos where he came from.
Let him get ready.” Meanwhile, a statement signed by the Spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, noted that no fewer than three million supporters of the separatist group drawn from Imo State and the neighbouring states were on ground to receive their leader in Owerri, the Imo State capital. Also, a post on the IPOB twitter handle on Saturday, Radio Biafra revealed that the separatist group and its leadership will storm Lagos soon.
The message reads, “We shall shut down Lagos, expect Nnamdi Kanu soon.” Emma Powerful had said that it was not possible for a group of sponsored youths, induced with pecuniary gains numbering at most 300 to have been able to interrupt a procession march of over 3 million passionate Biafrans.
He stated there was a little scene in Ebonyi State in the cause of similar visit and noted, “
Those behind the evil plot to cause mayhem in Ebonyi State, with the sole intention of tarnishing the revered image of IPOB and our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the prophet of our time, through their false media reportage, have failed woefully.
They should tell their Hausa Fulani masters in Sokoto and Kaduna that the IPOB recovery exercise in Ebonyi was a successful one.
Today Ebonyi State has regained its lost status as the power house of the new Biafra resurgence.” It would be recalled that IPOB had been denied use of Owerre Township Stadium for their rally and several youth organisations in Imo State same Friday mobilised to the Heroes Square, where it was said the IPOB leader would address their supporters. The youths addressed newsmen condemning the call for secession.
The IPOB leader however addressed the rally around the Warehouse Roundabout as against the Heroes Square. Powerful observed also that no group or groups of youths crossed the paths of the IPOB procession and there was no confrontation or disruption of their rally howsoever.
