Dangote to establish university, earmarks N200 billion The President and founder of Dangote Foundation, Aliko Dangote, has set aside N200 billion to establish a world-class university in Abuja. The proposal has since been delivered to the National Universities Commission, NUC. A former Executive Secretary of the NUC, Julius Okojie, who is the chairman of the technical team for the establishment of the university, said the foundation intends to drive technology and research in stimulating economic growth. Dangote driver arraigned for stealing N25m truck The police have arraigned a 35-year-old driver with Dangote Group Plc, Haruna Bello, before an lkeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing a truck belonging to the company. The police said Haruna worked with the Dangote Sugar Factory in the Apapa area of Lagos and absconded with the truck on May 18, 2017. PUNCH Metro  learnt that the suspect was driving the truck to Cotonu, Benin Republic, when he was arrested by customs officers in Badagry. He was arraigned on two counts of stealing. Nigerian man returns N150 million wrongly paid into his account in Qatar A Nigerian expatriate in Qatar became a millionaire for several hours after a bank mistakenly deposited more than QR1.5 million ($411,127.99) into his account recently. The man, Michael Asemota, had opened an account with a cheque of QR150,200 with an undisclosed commercial bank, where he is the sole signatory of the account. As he got back home, he received an alert showing that a QR1,502,000 had been credited into his account by mistake instead of QR150,200. Asemota went back to the bank and returned the money.
